Year 6 Residential - Grenville House Day 2
Day 2 is coming to a close, and we have had another fantastic day. This morning, all our groups went coasteering, jumping and swimming in the sea. The children loved the additional jumps into the water, and we also experienced sea currents (our current geography unit) first-hand, bobbing along where the sea wanted to take us before swimming back to the shore.
Then, during the afternoon activities, Mr Snow's group tackled the high ropes whilst the other groups took part in problem-solving activities (a reversal of yesterday's activities). Again, we were really impressed with the children's resilience and determination as they climbed as high as they could on the high ropes, as well as their teamwork and communication skills during the problem-solving activities.
Dinner was another great meal: sweet and sour chicken with rice, followed by what I would describe as school sprinkle cake!
