We are very lucky to have our local beekeeper, Mrs Danby, come in to deliver a weekly club all about beekeeping. The children have visited the local hive in the churchyard - putting on beekeeping suits and learning how to safely smoke the bees; dicected a bee pupa to look at the different stages of a bee's life; sampled different types of honey; learnt how to spin honey and bottle it (which the children then ate!); and even built their own hive.
The Harbour Schools Partnership (formerly Tarka Learning Partnership and Ventrus Multi Academy Trust) was established in April 2025. It is our mission to deliver excellence through collaboration to realise the right of every child to flourish.
