World Book Day 2026

We had a wonderful time on World Book Day. We arranged for Sean Taylor: a children's author (known for his engaging stories and over 60 published works - including award- winning picture books and poetry) to come in to deliver some writing workshops with all the classes. We LOVED the telling of his stories and the children were truly inspired by his visit. 

We had some amazing costumes on show and the buzz of books was evident all around the school. In classes the children: wrote their own poems; paraded their costumes on a catwalk; reviewed books they had read; completed some book illustrations based on famouns illustrators;  and the older children went over to Early Years to read to the younger children of the school - a magical time. 

Many thanks to the wonderful effort put in by the children and adults at home to prepare all of the costumes on show!
